It is a widely used chemical known for its strong oxidizing and bleaching properties. When it comes into contact with water, it decomposes and releases chlorine at the point of application, making it highly effective for disinfection, sanitation, and bleaching applications across various industries.

With 34% available chlorine, Calcium Hypochlorite offers significantly higher chlorine content compared to liquid Sodium Hypochlorite, which typically contains 10–12% available chlorine. This higher concentration enables cost savings in logistics, bulk handling, and storage. Additionally, it provides superior shelf stability, maintaining low chlorine loss over extended periods, even under varying climatic conditions, when stored properly.
